How would you approach it in terms of storage/hosting? My copy of the BTC blockchain is 551GB atm, which is doable. If a Nostr relay will be hosting images/videos, it'll probably need a hell of dedicated storage media.

It would and unfortunately I don’t have a good answer. If it could be distributed like nodes and support hardware and bandwidth requirements through zaps, etc. I believe it could scale.
