the way they are making engines these days, im surprised they do any maintenance at all. Porsche will replace parts because its more expensive to fix them after they add in labor.

That’s why I’m talking our side up though - we have the OLD engines still. Most of the power plants we use are old, reliable designs revamped and remodeled over the years. The F35’s sucks ass, of course, but it’s not even a production fighter, still in LRIP last I checked.
Most of the engines you use today are very tried and true. I think pratt & whitney just said they hit like 500 billion flight hours on their pt6s or something. 60 yo design and it’s insanely reliable now
