Haven't checked out the latest eps yet, but S1 was kinda solid. I fear it won't top the first. this marketing isn't getting me warmed up to watch the latest season
I just started watching & i'm on the 2nd season now. I laugh that they call it seasons because you know 2-4 episodes a season. The first episode was funny the second one was eh rest is just mediocre. I get it the show's main theme that correlates in every episode is a type of control. But really they are just trying to show us scary possible futures in 15-25 years from now.
Regardless this isn't going to get people to stop ranting online & rallying together to stop these type of dystopian future possibilities. I think we probably will come to the future of the brain implant behind the ear & recording timelines of peoples lives through their eyes. I can see the government doing that & those poor people on the sex offenders list.
A few episodes from season one stood out to me, like the memory recording one and that guy jogging in his bizarre cubicle home with screen walls. Others were forgettable, clearly not as memorable since i can't remember what they were about. Neuralink sure has some black mirror vibes imo
Oh the fitness facilitation episode yeah that was an interesting one. 21 go to a fitness camp & ur stuck there till you can buy your freedom by working out or become fat & a janitor. Yeah that episode was cool the girl he loved who became a whore after yeah that was pretty symbolic to the way society is now & going further into that direction.
That hit me pretty hard because I understood what was going on in multiple levels. The timeline one that would make people go insane I know I would.
I know I would go mental. We're not too far off of merging into that timeline I reckon.
That's why I'm tempted to watch the new season just to see if they can recapture that gripping sense of dread from those standout episodes.
