no I think its bc of global feed. I fetch last 5000 posts, and I think most of the time the whole thread is contained in those 5000 posts so its readily available in the db. if you click on a thread that is older you will see more of a wait time.
like this one #[3] but actually seems to load reasonably fast for me.
