Once the government got the legal right to dip into your income (hello taxes)…It was game over.
Projects, agencies, wars, and programs all exploded.
So did political salaries and corruption.
The government went from servant to master.
And they used your money to do it. You aren’t pissed enough.
But I am doing much better than my grand father when there were no taxes ! .. And we were under rule of the British !
Under British rule, people were taxed without representation and the system was built to benefit a distant king, not the people themselves.
Today’s system is a different flavor of the same problem: centralized power growing off the backs of the people who actually create value.
I mean today's system is much better .. not just because I am happy ..but because humans have not progressed more in any decade or a century as the last one .. all this because of a free market capitalistic system .. governments may be corroupt in most parts but their contribution to a free market economy is beyond doubt ..even in China ..
In fact free market capitalistic system invite you to be greedy , corrupt or whatever strategy you want to bring in .. that is the whole point of #freedom :-) .. turns out , in the long run just and true wins .. always .. like an old Hollywood movie 😉
