Essentially what we call "rights" are memes. effective and infectious ideas.

But they do not exist anywhere except in our collective agreement.

They're powerful and good but they do not exist at all unless we exercise them. If we don't use them, they atrophy and die off.

Any one of us or group of us can claim any rights we like,

But if we can't effectively wield that power in what sense can we say we have it?
