This is wild! Primal requires full KYC for their wallet!! I had heard rumblings but didn’t pay attention and thought it was just email needed, but nah, full KYC. Needless to say, my fake info was not approved 😂

Very curious why the KYC nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg?

Which wallet is this? Not the Primal wallet we use for zapping, right?

Yea, at least for me, it is the one built in that gives you the option to ‘Activate Wallet’

Probably relative to strike and not primal.

Yea but Primal is choosing to use Strike, why?

I had two friends fail Primal wallet activation just in the past week, and based on that experience I have paused recommending the iOS client to anyone else until they allow users to bring their own NWC wallet like you already can on Android. It’s important to get the onboarding experience right, and a KYC roadblock is too intrusive to subject to a new user when I’m trying to pitch the freedom and privacy aspects of Nostr.

I tried it and ended up deleted the app. I prefer #damus them found out some of the bullshit with primal

Primal’s wallet is handled by Strike. I thought they went that route so they could keep zaps in the app way back when or I may be misremembering.

Was this the reason nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg? Can that be changed now that Apple is ‘friendly’ again?

lol, f that
