No. Our bodies are weak, and prone to fail from the moment they come into existence. Disease and death are inevitable parts of life. The role of the doctor in bygone times (when he wheeled far less knowledge and power to actually change the course of many diseases) was that of a panacea, or a guide. We have lost that, and perhaps that is worth striving for again.
