My lightning setup:
1. Start9 server
2. Bitcoin Core + LND + Lightning Terminal with LNC
3. Zeus Wallet connected to LND via LNC
4. Deposit funds and open thicc channel with reliable peer
5. Backup channels and LND
I've done 100s payments without a single one failing or taking over 2 seconds.
Previous mistakes:
1. Using CLN and not having anchor outs and getting fucked by having to force close a channel
2. Trying to be a routing node and a personal node at the same time
3. Too many channels and not enough thought put into their size or counterparty
4. Using CLN and thus having to connect Zeus over Tor which would make the UX far slower and far less reliable.
I believe if CLN can get a couple of things improved it will go back to being the obvious best.
Nice, the same here... I use only LND (fewer apps, more secure)
