What are the arguments for large OP_RETURNs?

It seems to me there are basically 2 groups drawing battle lines again which is going to result in a fork of some description.

But to be pro- large OP_RETURNs seems to me to be pro- shitcoining on bitcoin (not using it for money).

Tell me if I'm wrong?

Tell me why I shouldn't back the least-shitcoiny bitcoin in the event of a hardfork or something similar?

You're not wrong mate, it's an attack on Bitcoin. Core is spookville.

I guess, the point for me is, i don't care much who is on one side or another. It's what do i want the laws to be in the constitution. The point scoring is so hollow.
