basic physics. Earth does not have enough mass to bring a sun or another planet into its orbit.
the sun's mass is huge ... hence it can achieve its nuclear reaction burning hydrogen.

The radius has been falsified through long distance observations and direct line of sight radio waves. Orbital mechanics are used to make assumptions of an imaginary force being proportional to the mass. These are some of the fundamentals used to infer the mass of Earth. It's a cool story, but there is no way to detect the motion of the Earth.
