#[0]​ Hi, what do you think about searching for contacts on nostr using legacy id? Like phone numbers and email adressess? I thinking about way how do it relatively privately, without doxing identity to everyone, but I'm not sure if is using legacy contacts good idea in first place, but signal is also based on it…

I should specify I like the email aspect. We should lose phone numbers all together and use npubs

Yes we can lose phone numbers (I just has been inspired by Vexl app which use numbers), but we also can add skype ID for example, but emails are probably enough.

Why npubs? When somebody know npub, he already can DM directly.

That way you have the same handle for FaceTime, Email, Phone, Text. Ideally separate clients for each. This way clients will be more like apps and help transition the masses.
