Why do it if you don't know the benefits?
Well I am considering it and have done some research but I wanted to get some anecdotal evidence too :)
You can lose weight very quickly fasting. Hunger is pretty intense on the first day, for me I felt much better on the second day. When you do eat, you can basically eat as much as you want. It is very mentally freeing to not have to think about food at all. You can get a lot done. Consider how much time we usually spend planning, cooking, cleaning. Supposed to be great for your metabolic health. Will improve BP, cholesterol, and blood sugar.
