I'm looking for a quiet place to stay for a few weeks/months in Funchal, #Madeira from next January.
Any recommendations, tips, insights, anything? I'm having a hard time finding something reasonable on AirBnB and Booking.

it's pretty rough. i got lucky, we found something pretty decent and our goal was long term so it all came together very nicely, but it almost didn't happen.
i'm sure i'm not the only one who is already in place who can at least report a story of such ventures, but first thursday of next month i'll have it in mind to ask people, if you haven't already tracked down help.

i know why you are coming. i'll be curious to see how many people who are "accepted" actually show up. finding a place to stay here is a nightmare.
i'm much too busy trying to just get a gig happening at this point to be getting involved with that thing, even though i'm not going to be on any other landmass on the planet any time soon.
