I like this and think it should be maintained. But i also think check the box listing of which app supports the most features isn’t a good way of choosing which app to use.

Take the calendar / events apps. They’re good at what they do, they arent trying to be a superapp. We don’t want something like a single wechat or ms word. But if we rank apps based on which has the most features then we prioritize features or the number of nips they support.

Instead we need ways to explore and choose nostr apps based on what people like to use. Like make a way for users to share their list of nostr apps they like, then we could compare it to your contacts on Nostr, using that we can make recommendations. Make it social.

Oh hey, was just watching your Nostrasia talk the other day. Really great stuff.

I agree, I don't think people should use it like that either. I just find myself forgetting what all the different clients do and which platforms they support so I love the overview just for that, NIP support aside.

I lose track of all the nostr apps myself. And listing functionality is by far the easiest way of comparing. We just need to make sure we don’t make that the only or primary way of understanding the ecosystem.
