Everytime we swap a decentralized permissionless cryptocurrency into a dollar stablecoin backed by US Treasuries such as USDC or USDT, we are helping to fund violence and oppression.

Stop and think about this the next time you swap. I am personally going to try to use USDC less and do whatever I can to work towards a world in which lots of people opt out of the dollar in all it's forms.

I want to see merchants who accept BTC or XMR, and then keep it instead of converting it into dollars or stables.

The power of the ruling class is in the money, that money is backed by nothing except people's trust in it. If the people wanted to, they could pull the rug out from the oppressors by simply opting out of the dollar en masse.

This was never possible before Bitcoin, gold was an option but it is too hard to verify, divide, and transfer. Now we also have Monero, which has all the power of Bitcoin plus fungibility and scalability. For the first time since the creation of state money, the power is in the people's hands, we just have to use it.

Every time we swap decentralized permissionless cryptocurrency into anything, we are helping fund violence and oppression.

Why complicate things?
