Just because an absolute free market is good in itself doesn't mean that everything people choose to do within that market is good.

It is exactly that but only when wrapped around you. And I'm totally with that. That's exactly freedom.
But your freedom ends when someone else's begin.
If you are saying that something is bad in your opinion so other people shouldn't be doing this and we should ban it that's no longer freedom.

They're adults using their freedom of choice to forge their own fate.
If someone is doing drugs that's his decision.
Tell that to the productive business owners, foot commuters, and property owners who set up roots in that area under the assumption that law would be enforced, allowing them the space to contribute to economic growth and living a life. Now with their property, investments, livelihoods, and safety at risk, they cede the area to a growing number of people who are clearly not in control of themselves anymore. You need to learn what an externality is.
