You cannot collect metrics like these in a decentralized network, if you run your own relay and I subsscribe to it, there's no way anyone could "collect" our data, our need for these metrics is stemmed from centralized platforms that can easily collect this data.

🤔 honestly hadn't thought of it that way.

Aren't relay aggregators and relay cashing able to provide a decent picture of the protocol though?

They can try but they'll never be accurate its more dangerous to rely on those metrics than trying to just accept that its not really possible, primal can tell you what their DAUs are, if they're tracking It and that would be much more useful.

Although I think most clients are not tracking those, since it would be kind of privacy invasive.

Gotcha. Appreciate the insight! Certainly adds to the case that brugeman should depricate that page if a ktlo doesn't provide utility.
