I disagree with verita but I think by default clients should be geared towards free speech, however they should make it easier to curate an experience.
We all came to Nostr because Centralized Social Media wouldn't let us say what was on our mind, are we going to let clients re-create Social Media 2.0?
Those tools should exist, and should be easy to access with client recommendations, or network recommendations but they should not be on by default since the default assumption is Nostr is a Free-Speech protocol.
Also why was Verita banned, I get he posts unsavory stuff, and I also saw the post about "spamming" but arbitrary metrics could end in essentially a type of shadowbanning.
But yeah, it's a fine line since illegal stuff, etc. but he hasn't done anything illegal to my knowledge, though I understand he is a controversial figure.
