Running on Empty (1998)

The Contender (2000)

The Big Bad Swim (2006)

“Running on Empty” is a coming-of-age film where a young man begins outgrowing his family who has been hiding from the law his whole life. Themes of identity, family loyalty, and letting go.

“The Contender” stars Jeff Bridges as a President—who likes to bowl and eat shark sandwiches—trying to choose a new Vice President, through all of the political opposition to his choice. The story just builds and builds, with very steady pacing.

“The Big Bad Swim” is the story of some very human, flawed characters who find themselves when they meet through an adult swim class. Secrets, shame, identity, and redemption.
