Thank you for sharing, i disagree with the argument of the author. In my view, we have to posit a moral vision to give science a direction and to define what to pursue. That moral vision comes from philosophy and metaphysics. For example we have to posit that seeking truth is worthwhile and will bring good order into being, that is not a fact it's more akin to a religious presupposition.
