I can’t even find what the current interest rate for my line of credit is. I can find Scotiabank’s prime rate and I can find the rate I was charged last August when I last had some money on it before I paid it off. They are happy to tell me I have 25k to spend but no interest in telling me what the price of that money will be. It’s ludicrous.

With rbc, rates are hard to find too, i do get a monthly “statement” that just tells me the money I paid to my mortgage is available to borrow back, yup no rate except for the signed mortgage rate from the day i took the leverage.

It seems insane to me that I can borrow 25k and not know the interest rate I am paying until a month later when I get the first interest charge.

Oh come on “prime”+ the number we choose is what you pay very easy math with words lol

Exactly
