🇷🇺🇳🇪 Russia warns ECOWAS not to take military action against Niger

Action against coup would lead to a "protracted confrontation",

In a statement issued on Friday, RF warned other West African nations not to send troops into Niger.

"We believe that a military solution to Niger could lead to a protracted confrontation, and to a sharp destabilization of the situation in the Sahara-Sahel region as a whole."

At the same time, pro-govt demonstrations continue in Niger.
