all kidding aside, I hope that you don't have addictions so severe as to need either one. I know only of AA, and I have known both successful and still struggling folk from there. I will say that the degree of success seems to correlate with the length of continued abstinence. Of course, if it were only that easy.

I do not yet struggle with such an addiction. Though I suppose that if I weren't a tea totaler I might've. I was raised in the alcoholic family that was broken. Both my mother and stepfather were bartenders that drank the profits.
Of course all the successful people I'm talking about aren't successful because of the 12-step program. It might have to do with there name. Names like Kennedy, Sheen, and Downey.
