I can't afford one, but I want one. Actually I want the Librem Liberty.
Had a Pinephone Original and used that as my daily driver for about 8 months before it died on me. They are almost identical hardware. Bent a SIM card pin, and now the screen is black.
You might get a refurbished one for a good price if you post an offer in the #Purism forums with tag marketplace. People list them on EBay etc too from time to time.
If you have a large audience you may even be able request a sample unit from them. They provided one to 404 Media looks like not sure for how long though.
