TDS isn’t that IMO. It’s when you think he’s literally “the end of democracy”, “Hitler” “Putin’s puppet” etc. Thinking he’s doing everything wrong or that he’s bad at his job isn’t TDS.

How is that less crazy than calling him the God King and Orange Jesus and stuff?

I think democracy was dying before Trump and what's left of the Constitutional Republic is in tatters, but let's not pretend the current US President cares about the rule of law.

He's always been a thug and he hasn't necessarily improved with age.

I don't know if he's a thug or always has been, though he’s surely overstepping the constitution by deporting people for core protected speech, but the TDS isn’t disagreeing with him or thinking he sucks, but belonging to a cult that literally sees him as Hitler.

There are, no doubt, some people who irrationally revere him, but no more than say who revered Obama or some other charismatic leader.

The glaring derangement are those — due to an unprecedented ~10-year psyop — who think he’s a white supremacist who colludes with Putin to bring about the 4th Reich in the US and somehow personally ending what was otherwise a functioning democracy by being duly and democratically elected by voters.

I think both ends are nuts. We've all just had to suffer 4 years of the one side and that let us forget how crazy the others are. They talk about the political opposition with the same crazy, hateful rhetoric, too.

There are crazies of all stripes, but I can’t “both-sides” it with the TDS mania. Maybe it’s because my circles are filled with a lot of neo-libs, but I’ve never seen anything like this, not when Biden, Obama or even Bush were president.

I even tried to sell them “camp” insurance, but had no takers.

I'm regularly exposed to both.

Same as with extreme-Greens and the extreme-AfD.

He's always been a thug and con artist, as well as a great actor who deserves an Oscar. No doubt about that. As for the whole colluding with Putin to bring about the 4th Reich, I agree with you. That's just preposterous.

I’m open-minded he’ll potentially do some good actually, but yeah, the issue isn’t whether someone disagrees with that, but whether they’re in a cult.

Honestly, he probably will. He loves being praised by the public and, for someone like that, that should be enough of an incentive for them to make some beneficial (and possibly short-term) changes to the current fragile infrastructure that is the US government. Some are, without a doubt, in the Trump cult but that's no different from any other president. So, nothing is new there. Max-normies will always max-normie. And you are right to be worried about the deportation situation and even more worried about the fact that people don't care (or are completely ignorant) of the fact that he's overstepping constitutional rights. But... hey, let the empire fall. They all do eventually.

Of course he'll do some good. He already has. Roe versus Wade has been overturned and the crypto criminalization has been rolled back and he finally free Ross.

I bring to you this very thoroughly researched and detailed report by John Helmer for consideration. Adding TTD (Temporary Trump Dictatorship) to the abbreviation jungle. It's worth give it some time and read the article.
