well i got the house for it a few weeks ago

like with any million dollar recording studio a system like this has to be custom built for the space it will be in, because the space defines the acoustics.

the space is i got is actually almost perfect. now whether i will ever have the money for the actual components is another question - probably not to be honest. but it could have been worse. i could have gotten a house that rules out the possibility of such a setup simply by virtue of not having space for it. but the space is there.

i have deliberately set up my bed in the "office" and left the primary / master for my computer so that i would have space to build the sound system around it in that room, which would become a part time goon cave, part time home theater, part time discotheque :)

actually one dilemma i am facing now is what to do with all the speakers that i have already. i haven't moved any of them to Florida yet. i think will sell them for pennies on the dollar. i don't actually need speakers - all i need is headphones - but i do enjoy designing because i am a genius and i like to rub it in the faces of mediocre people like you :)
