A few years ago I started my flirting with bitcoin. I bought Trezor hardware wallet and a few sats to try my first onchain payment. I also tried to have full bitcoin node in my laptop, but I guess there was not enough space to download the entire blockchain.

I wish I can try it again. It would be lovely if it supports LN payments too.

Can anyone recommend the cheapest way how to make it? And user-friendly...

Using an old laptop, or a Raspberry Pi, with #[2] or #[3] Embassy OS.

You can run a bitcoin and an LN node using these.

You don’t have to have a lot of disk space, if you can’t afford it. You can set up a pruned node, that does not store the whole bitcoin blockchain on your device.

Raspberry Pi seems to be a tricky piece of hardware. I try to buy an old laptop and use Umbrel. I can see a strong comunity to support me :-) Thanks a lot!
