Agreed! And then, at least on my umbrel, I had to wait for electrum to sync too and I was unaware that takes another day 💀
Yea, I am also running an Umbrel node. I wonder if this is normal or has to do with Umbrel itself? Ill have to wait on everything after its done as well.
This is because the later blocks are more full.
Number of transactions looks pretty similar. What else are they full with?

It seems to have died down because it was mostly coming from a single source. But they’re forever stuck on the blockchain.

Well thats good news! I assume it will be an issue for syncing until this year though 😅
Even when I synced my node back in 2021 the last 10% seemed to take forever. The cool part was knowing that the first part of the blockchain that downloads really fast was where everything from the Genesis Block, Hal Finney, Laszlo Haynecz, SatoshiDice, to Silk Road and Wikileaks lived. You can watch so much of bitcoin’s history unfold in just one day.
