I see #zap have turned into 2 categories:
1) a proxy for 🤙 (low amount)
2) genuine appreciation, and value for value transfer (higher amount)
Are used to be zaps that were in the middle, that were a combination of the two categories, but I think you use your base has learned how to optimize information that is being conveyed by zaps
I think this is a good thing. Thoughts?
Sats aren’t free. Every sat required energy to mine and obtain for someone. Even if your friend gifted you 100 sats. Those were still earned via v4v by someone.
In my opinion, all zaps are a signal of value. A 🤙 is not that.
For some people 1 sat is a lot. For others 1 Bitcoin is not that much right now.

I do think that creators should have the ability to set all sorts of custom limits to what actually triggers a notification. If you only want notifications to appear if zap is >100 sats then I think you should be able to change your setting to get that.
If that makes sense..
100% agree, my point is we are going to the extremes, either large zaps or small zaps…
Like for zapathons, everyone does like 1 to like 200 sats, people don’t do 1000 to 10k zaps for zapathons anymore…
Oh gotcha. Yeah, people may be zapped out a bit after some of the new wears off. Can’t operate at a big loss forever haha. I know I certainly can’t at least lol 😂
Me either 💜🧡 it’s just interesting to see how people figure out how things work and behavior become the norm
offtopic but i still think when content creators upload content and before people watch it, there is a little ad this will be a gamechanger. Content creators get paid real time with sats and there will be a continuous inflow in the lightning system.
What if this was a client? Could work of people like to support that way… I don’t think I would do that but options are great
