I totally get this and would never overspend for a car. I do see value in some of the safety features of newer cars. The backup camera and automatic brake has saved me a few times when my wife almost backed into something lol.

Those are definitely good I’m wary of surveillance and tracking.

True, don’t love that my car gives me a “score” after every drive. Even if its not passing that info off… what a waste of resources to be constantly calculating that.
