😢

Unfortunately people here doesn’t trust in bitcoin and its volatility, they don’t have money to risk, they see bitcoin as a risky investment asset, they prefer to buy dollars as a reserve of value, because dollar always increases its value in pesos, or they invest their pesos in a fixed term deposit (Compound interest rate >105%), or they buy long-term goods to try to lose less.

Or they invest in pre-sale apartment buidings/projects. Lots of hard assets to diversify one’s wealth into. The adoption of stablecoins is a necessary evil right now, but I think dollarization and Bitcoin adoption (read: abolishing the banco central) are the best solutions moving forward.

I hope people invest in apartments, I think that’s a very small amount of people. I know freelancers who work for other countries prefer to receive stablecoins because of the dollar restrictions. And I don’t think dollarization is a good idea (but I’m not an economist)

If it worked for Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, and El Salvador, why wouldn’t it work for Argentina? At a certain point the Argentinian people need to admit that the corrupt Central Bank needs to be abolished and the IMF needs to be kicked out of Argentina’s domestic affairs.

I just wish the best for my country 😢 no matter what or who will do it. We just can’t keep living this way.
