Places that charges vs places that doesn’t. I think I got it confused -some places pay ppl to use the app?
Discussion
Whatsapp in Brazil has P2P features too now - users can send up to 5,000 Brazilian Real (US$918) per month to each other free of charge, each transaction capped at 1,000 Brazilian Real (US$184) limit, and max 20 transfers per day. That's 216 million whatsapp users in Brazil whose micro finances will be monitored.
No. Users cannot install the app by themselves, so they pay others to install the app for them on their own phones.
Oh - that’s a pretty high demand among non-tech friendly crowd in Brazil. Whatsapp loves Brazil!
Hopefully Nostr has same hype soon - without charges.
(Thanks for explaining, have not encountered this scenario and brain scrambled for other possibilities)
