I feel like it’s untouched when it’s pure, from person to person, out of the kindness of our hearts.

But there’s this new version of care, and specifically what & who to care for, which I think is pretty top down. Example- media tells you what to care about. You probably don’t really care, but you feel you should care because you were told so. A ‘moral obligation’ to care, and if you don’t you’re probably a bad person.

For instance, if I genuinely care about my country and show up to a protest with a bunch of truckers, my bank account goes bye-bye. However, if I care about let’s say BLM and decide to burn down and loot cities, I don’t get any repercussions. This must mean what I chose to care for was morally right…

…Right?
