Trying umbrel again. It was down for over a year because I didnât want to deal with the constant crashes.
Discussion
Umbrel was a great stepping stone for me -- it introduced me to self-hosting. But it ultimately inspired me to set up my own dashboard and containers. Hope your latest foray goes well
You can migrate to raspiblitz if it still crashes
I'm finding the newly architected release super solid.
I think it is pretty solid these days! I've had no issues what so ever
Same, I ended up moving to another distro (mynodebtc.com) - not had a spot of bother since. But then mynode isnât as fancy and doesnât do as many other things. It just does a really good job of being a node for btc and LN and other ecosystem stuff (jam, nostr, etc).
Start9 is stable.
My original umbrel on RPi4 failed, but then I went with an OrangePi5 w/16GB ram and configured to boot from an M.2 rather than the SD card. Been running great with the Orange Pi so far and can handle more load. Problem now is Umbrel updated their OS again so I do need to reconfigure for that when I have time. Not a priority though.
Let me know how this goes. I just got one and am having trouble making it work.
