Voting with your feet is not negotiable. It may even involve literally doing a lot of walking, to the point your legs are aching.
The thing that alerts you to something you never noticed is often just a 5 minute walk away, just a little further than you already went.
The trodden paths never give you new things. You MUST run with the urge to look when something makes you wonder. Worst case scenario, you learn something.
