I've heard it said "People in L.A./Hollywood are 'fake'."
Some of this is due to drugs and mental illness, surely, but is some of it also due to "everyone" wanting to be in show business there?

I also remember reading about a woman that was stabbed in Hollywood by a homeless guy. She took a picture of him, and when he demanded a $1 for taking his picture, she refused, and he stabbed her to death.
