The Virgin #Mary, chosen from all generations, bore the Son of God, becoming the Theotokos. At the Annunciation, she humbly accepted Gabriel's message: "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." She conceived by the Holy Spirit, bringing forth Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. She stood by the Cross, witnessing His sacrifice, and was present with the apostles at Pentecost.
