Einstein said and I'm paraphrasing that the more I study the more it compels me to believe there's a God who created all of it. I think he was pretty wise wasn't he?

Religion and the idea of god are not the same thing

All great religions talk about God basically begging everyone to believe in a deity. That's the foundation of every religion. The ratio of religions believing in God and wise people believing people in God is 1:less then one

Than*

That's the typical example given for the "appeal to false authority" argumentative bias lol

What is a wise man?

Elon Musk? Fauci? Dawkins?

I think you're taking the idea out of context, Seneca was alive around the year 0, in the Roman Empire time... I like the idea he has about religion and compared it to the current fiat system, imo it has more to do with how you approach a set of believes given by tradition, more of a political point of view

Nope. Politicians use religion for their benefit but if you read any great religion you'll find it to be pure. The condition here is to read the religion from its texts and not observe from its followers. When we conflate the two that's when the hatred starts.

What is a wise man? I'm honestly curious

People using #nostr rn 😁

Cute

I can see you don't wanna have a debate which is cool. Just wanted to have some fun

Yeah, it reminded me of Socrates and Theaetetus dialogue on "what is knowledge", which is a bit related to wisdom, you have the upper hand on asking the open question and you can easily refute anything I say, I'm far too ignorant to attempt a successful answer to that thousand year question 🥲
