Have you ever made it with lard? We're about to butcher some pigs so I'm thinking to try
dripping has a nicer gloss to it but hard to make it soft to spread it
it works pretty good tho, lard, i mean... i was told by serbs in the rural areas that it was a known old practise to use lard to protect your feet while on long walks
Supposedly lard is more bioavailable than vegetable oil
No i havent, but i might make salve made with tallow. I just made a test batch of my soap bars using tallow, and i love them. I still have a little bit of tallow in the freezer from the half cow we bought late last year.
