I suggest if one writes letters like these, format them better. TLDR; why it matters, what’s at stake, desired action, what happens if no action taken, body of letter.

Put desired action 2nd maybe so they have a concrete thing they can act on. Maybe research exactly what they can do - make it easy for them to act on it.
