Depends on how authoritarian your local gov is.
My level of authoritarian is California which is worst
Kind of.
Your lot has fled en-mass to neighboring states in a number of occasions.
(In my current case, Arizona).
For the second time in 3 decades (the first being WA in the late 80's) I have to watch a state I live in being overrun by wealthy nor Cal types escaping what environments they created.
Without learning why.
Ugh I hate my state sometimes
Geographically, it does have some of the most beautiful places in North America, though.
