Is it possible to build a big business based on value-4-value only?

My hunch: yes

What do you need: time & tools & attention

That means a future in which information is paid for by the audience that consumes it has already arrived

Content creators no longer beholden to the views, actions, or demands of their advertisers

I think you need scale. It’ll be tough to find your niche group of supporters from a smaller user base but once the pool widens that becomes easier.

Indeed. Hence the allure of remaining on the status quo platforms

One can monetise eyeballs easier (selling products / sponsorship etc)

When I ran my podcast I received circa 30$ via fountain v4v

Of a total revenue of circa 10k it’s a reflection on where eyeballs are
