Damn time to delete
I think we’re moving to a world of geo-federated ecash (and cold storage). Lightning to mostly be used between the federations and exchanges.
I’m hopeful that large federations that are geo-distributed will be difficult for any country to shut down.
I attended a dinner this week, where I was seated beside a prominent investor with several Bitcoin + Lightning companies in his portfolio. This is precisely what I laid out for him as my most likely scenario.
I feel like I had a strangely guitar based sushi with a guy once and had similar intuition:)

They left US because of malicious rules disguised as regulations. It's how they surpress growth of bitcoin economy
The last time they rebranded carrot to Bitcoin magazine App we tried to work with them to use Coin Wallet a noncustodial wallet for this reason. Now just 2 years later they are having to shut it down.
