The reason nostr has remained mostly bitcoin/focused is

A) Normal people are actually enticed, not repelled, by platforms with the promise of censoring (largely political) enemies. They (want to) leave Twitter because it doesn't censor *enough* people.

B) The broad majority of legitimately-foul people who enjoy beheading videos and intimidating jews already have concentrated on Mastodon after Twitter showed them the door.
