Around the time Craig Wright first claimed to be Satoshi, I went to a Tripple A baseball game before the MLB banned cash.

I asked my friend if he could buy me a beer. I would pay him back in #bitcoin. He accepted. I showed how to use a wallet and told him to write down his seed words. I don't remember if I emphasized how fucking important that is.

I hope I did.

I haven't talked to him in a while.

I don't remember the exact price or exact date, but let's say the price for a hundred million sats was $300 at time, give or take. I think this means I paid him about 1,600,000 sats.

That's worth over $1,600 today.

I wonder if he still has it?

Just because I've been using bitcoin since 2014 doesn't mean I'm Richie Rich Rich. I spent more sats than I'd like to admit on stupid shit like Diet Mt. Dew and computer speakers, but I still believe time in bitcoin is more important than being early into bitcoin.

It forced me to re-evaluate my spending habits. I still spend bitcoin, but it makes you re-evaluate what you need. Do I need beer when water is free? No, so I haven't had a drink in over 150,000 blocks.

Maybe you can reach out and check with him? And then let us know what's up. I'm curious now! 🙂

I'm thinking about it. :)
