If 300,000 years of Homo sapiens diet were compressed into a 24-hour day:

• we ate (mostly) meat for the 1st 23 hours

• we started eating grains during the last 1-hour

• we started eating ultra-processed food during the last 1-minute

Hunters and gatherers ate meat and what they gathered though, hence the name.

You make it seem like it was only meat, whereas there were also fruits and berries, roots and tubers, greens and leaves, nuts and seeds and so forth.
