I gotta say, one of the few things that could have put me off about Nostr is that pretty much the only "general" media (non-BTC focused outlet) I see, and it's as active as on Twitter, is a very obvious and well known Russian propaganda website disguising itself as a "rebel" information site. But you can feel the smell of Putin's dick in every word they say.

I've come to the conclusion too that, even if it's not the origin of it, said propaganda outlet is definitely exploiting and amplifying at will the latest conspiracy theory about the mysterious dark secret cabal of... THE BRICS.
It surprises me that so many are persuaded by the narrative. On second thoughts I'm not that surprised given the reach and influence of Winnie's contribution to our world.
Rather than CCP propaganda, this is classic Soviet-style dezinformatsya. They either originate or coopt some loony, half-baked, straw-grasping conspiracy, and use it to cause chaos and mistrust. It doesn't even need to be believable, it's all about the noise.
