Looks like one wouldnt need a tablet at all. Just a mobile device and a laptop.
In the 2030s, you'll probably be able to do away with the laptop and just go mobile device + ereader.

I could see that. There are some brands doing a combo e paper and OLED screen. Could see maybe just moving to mobile only that can switch to ereader
Being able to toggle to eInk would be incredible. Didn't know that technology existed.

There's a few but here's a quick sample of the previous gen. TCL release a tablet and phone last week that took it up another level

This type of screen on a future Pixel fold would eliminate the need for an eReader....
If I could be down to 1 device in the 2030s...
