Libertarian to authoritarian right every time. Never to authoritarian left that I have seen.
So easy to get propagandized down that path. I fell for it myself once upon a time before I got my head screwed on straight, here is my insight into why that is so common.
Republicans yell freedom the loudest while pointing out Democrats attempts to remove freedoms. Democrats don't believe in individual freedoms and they haven't made that lie a part of their platform so they don't hold republicans to task for the freedoms they take away. That leaves only tiny platforms that lack the megaphone of the 2 major parties pointing out how unfree republican policies are.
Saying it the loudest and most often doesn't make it true but it will convince a lot of people who aren't thinking very hard.
I know Republicans who are Republicans because they fell for this trap. When you trap them into seeing they supported an extremely unfree policy you can see their brain halt and reboot in their eyes. The first thing they always say when their brain is back online is "but the Democrats"
If you are only thinking in terms of opposing someone else that goes back to what I recently wrote about thinking about the obstacles instead of thinking about the path.
Sad to see people falling into the same trap over and over again.
They talk about individual liberty and how the state is the enemy, and as soon as they are given lip service by a fascist stooge, it’s “Govern me harder, daddy.”

While I seek out the unusual, the fringes, sub and other cultures, which I find fascinating, educational, and mind-opening, it seems many if not most people have a knee jerk reaction of fear to the unknown or different without any attempt to understand acted out as opposition.
Yes. It’s as if people should not be allowed to resist oppressive governments or voluntarily move to a part of the world where for an economic advantage unless they are of a certain class or background.
